Huntsville, Alabama – In May, Alumni, UAH hockey, and college hockey supporters locally and around the world successfully raised the funds needed to reinstate the University of Alabama Huntsville NCAA Division I hockey program. Today, UAH Hockey Alumni announce the launch of its newly formed advisory committee.

The advisory committee is made up of hockey and business leaders whose focus is to guide and support the advisory board. The advisory board members, Sheldon Wolitski and Taso Sofikitis, will work with Cade Smith, UAH Athletic Director, and UAH Administration to solidify the long-term success of the UAH hockey program.

Advisory Committee Members include:

Sean Henry – President & CEO of the Nashville Predators

Bill Wickett – EVP Tampa Bay Lightning

Brent Flahr – VP/AGM Philadelphia Flyers

Cam Talbot – Calgary Flames Goal Tender

Paul Gierow – UAH Alumni and Business Entrepreneur

Joe Ritch – UAH Hockey Program Founder and Business Entrepreneur

Ralph Drensek – UAH Hockey Alumni and Engineer

 

“The formation of the Advisory Committee is pivotal in gaining the experience and knowledge needed to build the best DI program in college hockey,” says Wolitski.
